Product Description
The Couloir 30 is an extremely versatile winter backpack. It is the ideal companion for day trips on skis or a snowboard, as well as snowshoe adventures.
To keep the carrying system dry when the pack is placed in the snow, access is via the 270° zip opening on the back panel or a clever top-loading opening from the side. This makes organising and stowing your kit extremely easy and convenient.
You can secure skis and splitboards in three different ways. The supplied straps with lockable buckles also let you attach snowboards and snowshoes vertically to the front of the backpack. All pockets and compartments are easy to access, even when wearing gloves. The gear loops can also be removed. The two different ice axe attachments can also be freely positioned.
Thanks to the comfortable back panel, padded shoulder straps and hip belt, the Couloir is very comfortable to carry. The fabrics used are robust and water-repellent.

All EXPED textile products are made without intentionally added PFAS since 2025. We work closely with suppliers and perform independent tests to ensure our products contain zero PFAS.
The EXPED backpack line includes both waterproof and weatherproof models. Waterproof means these backpacks keep water out unless submerged in water. Weatherproof means that the fabric and seams are completely waterproof, but zippers and hydration ports are water resistant and not 100% waterproof.
All other backpacks in the EXPED line have coated fabrics to prevent water penetration. These backpacks do not have taped seams. Typically, other features such as durability or weight reduction are the focus of these products and are designed to be used with our waterproof drybags to keep the contents dry.
